John Anjos - has more than thirty-six years of experience as a Real Estate instructor. He is a licensed real estate Broker in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts, and is also an adjunct Real Estate Professor at the University of Massachusetts in Dartmouth.
   
Michael Blanton - With all of his international experience and involvement with government affairs, Michael Blanton is a great example of an instructor who thinks globally and acts locally. Michael has worked in international trade, bridging the gap between the global and local, speaks Mandarin Chinese, has worked in press and communications for Senator Kerry, has owned a real estate office, and was a member of the Cape Cod & Island Association of REALTORS® Board of Directors. He is a very civically involved individual, currently serving as the town of Bourne’s representative to the Cape Cod Commission, and he sits on the Bourne Housing Authority and Falmouth Housing Trust. Michael has taught real estate at the National Real Estate Studies of Dennis, Cape Cod Community College, for the Sandwich High School adult education program, and for the CC&IAOR! We invite you to come learn from Michael Blanton in the coming year!
   
  Jeff Chute - Has been in the Real Estate Business in Plymouth Massachusetts since 1984. Working first as an agent, then Office Manager, he opened his own Real Estate office, J.D. Chute and Associates in 1987. He has been a state certified Real Estate instructor since 1998, and frequently teaches at the local and state levels.
   

Ruth Dillingham -  is Special Counsel for First American Title Insurance Company in the New England region.  In that capacity she interacts with title agents and all of their business partners including lenders and real estate agents with the intent of keeping all parties apprised of any new developments in lending, compliance or conveyancing practices.  She presents numerous training programs for attorneys, real estate agents and lenders with a concentration on emerging issues. While in private practice, Ruth had a special concentration in real estate title and conveyancing matters as well as mortgage lending and compliance law.

Ruth is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College (1975, cum laude), and Boston University School of Law (1978) and is admitted to practice before all courts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She is a member of the Real Estate Bar Association of Massachusetts (President 1996), the Abstract Club (President 2008), the New England Land Title Association (President 2008), and the Massachusetts Mortgage Bankers Association, (President  2003).

   
Edie Hyland teaches with the incredible depth that only comes with years of experience in real estate: Edie has over 40. In her career, she has sold millions of dollars in real estate, both commercial and residential, as well as worked as an instructor and office manager. She focuses on teaching professionalism and skills that translate into both better business practices and increased profitability. 
 
   

Karen Jaworski ABR, CRS, CBR, GRI, LTG, is the Owner/Partner of Seashore Real Estate in Harwichport, Massachusetts.  She represents Buyers and Sellers on a daily basis and has been a REALTOR with the Cape Cod and Islands Association of REALTORS since 1979. She instructs the Cape Cod and Islands Association of REALTORS, Inc. New Member Orientation program and also teaches the NAR-required Quadrennial-Code of Ethics class to our existing members on a monthly basis.  Her classes offer advice regarding day-to-day real estate business practice.

   
Jim Livesey is a founder and managing director of Beacon Exchange Company, a Section 1031 Exchange qualified intermediary located in Boston.  Jim recently began his 9th year as a business development officer in the 1031 exchange industry.  During that time he has assisted with hundreds of successfully completed 1031 exchanges for assets such as real estate, aircraft, and fleet vehicles.  In the past 8 years, Jim has taught more than 300 Section 1031 exchange continuing education classes in Massachusetts and New York. Jim closed his first Section 1031 Exchange in 1992 when he managed a $500 million portfolio of commercial aircraft and vessels that were leased to some of the largest domestic and international transportation firms.
   

Jody O’Brien, GRI, CBR - is the owner of Platinum Real Estate Academy.   She possesses a wealth of experience—both as a practitioner and an educator. 

During her real estate career, she was a consistent multi-million dollar producer who accumulated substantial sales recognition awards including Multi Million Dollar Club, Master Level Sales Associate and the recipient of the President’s Citation for excellence in customer service. Jody was the 2003 President of the Northeast Association of REALTORS® and has been a member of the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS®.  She has been actively involved in her local association as liaison to the Northern Region Education Partnership, Chair of the Education, Convention, and Events committees, as well as a new member orientation instructor.  Her service awards include Chairperson of the Year Award (twice), 1999 Distinguished Service Award, and 2003 Massachusetts Educator of the Year. 

She has been active in the state association since 1995 serving on the Education committee, GRI, Professional Development and Agency Task Force, and Events committee. Jody is an instructor of continuing education courses for the Northeast, Eastern Middlesex, Greater Boston and Massachusetts Associations of REALTORS® and a GRI instructor. She has been a regularly featured presenter at events for both the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® and GMAC Real Estate—regional and national levels for both.  On the national level, she is a member of the Real Estate Educators Association (REEA).

On the local level, Jody has been a contributor to the Lawrence Eagle Tribune, writing informative real estate articles for the consumer. She is a member of the Lawrence Exchange Club and has served as a member of the Board of Directors and has chaired the Policeman of the Year committee. She has been involved in their programs to bring awareness and funding to child abuse, supported the Lawrence Boys and Girls Club and educational scholarships for Greater Lawrence youth.
