Q. How often do I need to take Continuing Education?
A. Each real estate licensee has two years in which to complete 12 hours of continuing education. Your real estate license will indicate when it expires; in order to keep your license in ‘active’ status, you must complete 12 hours of continuing education by the date listed. In order to help you accomplish this, we provide 12 hours of continuing education nearly every month, and offer Spring & Fall CE sessions on Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard. We encourage you to complete your CE requirements early, however, to avoid last minute panic.
Q. How can I tell when my real estate license expires?
A. Your expiration date is printed on your license, please note this date and be sure to take 12 hours of continuing education before then!
Q. How many credits do I have?
A. This information is available online at ims.cciaor.com. Please use your MLS username and password to login.
Q. What is the best way to sign up for classes?
A. You can sign up online at ims.cciaor.com, or feel free to view our calendar of events, print out the printable registration form, and fax it back in to us at 508-771-0067. We look forward to hearing from you!
Q. When is your next continuing education session offered?
A. Please check our online calendar of events. Classes are offered roughly every 6 weeks, and you can sign up for classes online or by fax.

Q. Where are you located?
A. We are located conveniently near Route 6 and Hyannis at 22 Mid Tech Drive, West Yarmouth, MA 02673. You can find a map and directions here.
Q. I took CE classes elsewhere, do you keep track of those? Do they count? How many credits do I have?
A. We can only track how many continuing education credits you have taken with us, which means that you are responsible for keeping record of the continuing education classes you may have received credit for at other real estate schools. As long as the courses are state-approved CE courses taken within the two year timeframe before your license’s expiration date, then the courses should count towards your bi-annual 12 hour CE requirement.
Q. How often do I need to take the NAR Code of Ethics Class?
A. Every REALTOR® must take Code of Ethics training at least one time between January 1, 2009, and December 31, 2012. In order to help you complete this training, we are offering Code of Ethics courses frequently throughout the year. Check the calendar of events to sign up online!
